This is a FINAL reminder that registration for the upcoming 5th Annual HDR conference in Warrnambool from 29th-31st October closes this Friday (August 15th). Please register ASAP to avoid missing this exciting event.
Through THIS LINK you can choose your preferred presentation type and provide information on any special requirements (e.g. dietary). We require this information for the ongoing planning of the conference so your prompt registration is much appreciated. Please note: staff are not required to present their research, and should indicate “staff” in the reason for not presenting box.
We are very excited about our three guest speakers for the conference:
- Dr Paul Bertsch – Deputy Director of land and water at CSIRO, speaking about working within a government agency and what skill set we need to pursue a career in the environment sector.
- Dr Ken Walker – Senior Curator – Entomology, Museum Victoria, speaking about the role of citizen science in research
- Dr Claire Aitchison – senior lecturer in postgraduate literacies, University of Western Sydney and writer of the Doctoral Writing SIG blog, speaking about how to use the doctorate to establish writing, publishing and profile building skills
We may even have a guest lecture from our very own Dr Matt Symonds on how to get a postdoc! Watch this space.
All presenters are sure to be fun, engaging and relevant to all staff and students attending the conference. It’s shaping up to be a good one!
Hope to see everyone there.
