BirdLife Warrnambool, together with the BirdLife National Education Committee, warmly invites you to join the 2014 biannual Congress and Campout in Victoria. This year the Congress will be held in Portland from 4–5 October and the Campout in Nelson from 6–9 October.
The theme of the Congress is Birds of the Waves, Wetlands and Waterways. Keynote speaker Bob Brown will open the weekend, followed by a range of presentations from researchers, land managers and volunteers, covering important issues such as biodiversity corridors, wetland rehabilitation, citizen science recovery projects and traditional bird knowledge from the local Gunditjmara first peoples.
Here’s your opportunity to hear from some of Australia’s leading scientists and conservationists, with opportunities to network directly with practitioners in the field.
Early bird registration for students are just $70 if you register before August 31 (or $80 thereafter). Join us for two action-packed and insightful days! Register here.
Not sure how you’ll get to Portland? Give us a bell at national office and we’ll do our best to help you out (firstname.lastname@example.org).
