Centre for Integrative Ecology Annual Conference 2019

The Centre for Integrative Ecology invites you to attend the 2019 CIE Annual Conference to be held on Wednesday, 16th October at the Deakin Downtown, Melbourne.

The conference is an important event in the annual calendar of events for the Centre. It is an opportunity for all staff and students to come together to listen, discuss and contribute. It creates a great forum for our academics, researchers and students for networking and build on possible collaborative links with those from other campuses. A great platform for our students to showcase their research and reflect on what has been achieved.

We would like as many staff and students to attend as possible, as this is important to the success of the day and ultimately the success of our future that as many staff and students contribute at these events as possible.

Registration is now open – please register your attendance no later than 2nd October 2019: click here to register.

Accommodation/Transport (Warrnambool staff/students only) – the Centre will reimburse our Warrnambool staff and students (up to $120), 1-night’s accommodation in Melbourne and also return train ticket. It is recommended that Warrnambool staff and students best to pre-book several School cars to travel to the conference.

Guidelines for the talk presentations:

  • In preparation for your talk, we ask that you follow the strict guideline below. This would ensure that our schedule runs on time and allows for all talks to be accommodated on the day.
  • Student talks will run for 4.5 minutes and then 30-seconds for changeover.
  • In addition, there will be time at the end of each cluster of talks, for Q&A, and this will depend on how many talks are scheduled – as we approach closer to the conference date, we will know better and a final schedule will be sent to all.
  • Prizes will be awarded for best talks!!
